Following
the tradition of Ernest Hemingway, sportfishermen come from all
over the world for the superb fishing. The Club has three sport-fishing
boats and a mother-ship/dive boat. All have excellent crews who
have in excess of 150 years' experience between them. They can instruct
novices and talk fishermen through any procedure in the course of
reeling in their catch. A 100% tag and release policy is pursued
for all big fish unless the fish is injured, it is the fisherman's
first ever catch, his biggest to date or if it is likely to be a
Kenyan or All-Africa record.
All
the Club boats are large, twin screw, diesel powered craft from
30 feet to 44 feet. They are all equipped to the highest international
safety standards. Of course, all boats also have the standard safety
gear such as radio, compass, life rings and life vests. They are
also all equipped with the latest technology, with GPS, colour echo
sounders and fishfinders. A full set of tackle is provided with
Shimano, Fenwick, Harnell or KC rods and Shimano or Penn international
reels, spooled with 801b, 501b and 301b mono line. We welcome clients
who wish to use their own lighter tackle, and all our skippers are
conversant with the IGFA fly-fishing regulations.
JASIRI
and SHUWARI: 33ft (10m) American-built, fully equipped, Bertrams.
These are top-of-the-range craft, powered by twin diesel turbocharged
Caterpillar engines, developing 270hp each and can travel in excess

been until now unreachable. Billy Pate, one of the world's top fly
fishermen, caught a 124lb Marlin on 12lb tippet to clinch a Kenya
and all-Africa fly record from Jasiri. This was only the second
Striped Marlin in the world to be caught on a 12lb tippet.
WHITE
OTTER: Is a 44ft (13.5m) sportfisher, and has caught more Marlin
than any other gamefishing boat in Africa. Her present tally is
one thousand four hundred and five - a record to be proud of anywhere
in the world. Kadi Nahoda was the first helmsman in Africa to catch
over 100 marlin in one season and is still Kenya's number one helmsman
with 116 Marlin in one season - his 116th Marlin is an existing
Kenya and all Africa record of 269lb. (122kg) Striped Marlin on
50lb line.
All
boats operate under International Game Fish association (IGFA) rules,
which oversee and govern game fish records throughout the world.
We are an official IGFA member.
KISIWANI:
Is a 67ft (18.43m) luxurious motor yacht with 5 double air-conditioned
